Facial Specialist Training in Florida
FACIAL SPECIALIST (325 Hours) (Offered only at the Main campus) (9 weeks / Full Time) (13 weeks / Part Time) (17 weeks / Part Time) Instructional Methods:

This course is taught in theory and practical methods. Instructors at our Beauty School in Miami, Florida will use blackboards, audio/visual aids, and demonstration materials.

Objective:

This program will provide training in Aesthetics and Skin care, which teaches the students the biological foundations of the skin, and the maintenance and health of the skin by correct cleansing methods and massage. The theory classes include the study of the structures of the skin, the function to recognize lesions and diseases of the glands. Techniques will be learned for treatment of problem skin conditions such as oiliness, dryness, comedones, acne, discoloration, and scarring. The student will become skilled at several cosmetic treatments and make-up application. At the completion of the program, the graduate will qualify for State license, and upon licensing, employment as a Facial Specialist. Students will also receive information about compensation packages, payroll deductions and career information such as professional ethics, effective communication, and human relations.

Program Description:

The Facial Specialist program is designed to teach the skills and knowledge required in spas, salons, and as representatives of major makeup companies. Students learn to perform complete facials and skin treatments, as well as the basics of traditional and artistic makeup. The course teaches techniques and resources to use in order to meet client needs for specific care. Students receive practical, hands-on experience and learn professional business skills needed to succeed in a growing and competitive industry. Graduates possess the basic knowledge to become makeup artists, retail sales specialists, and skin care consultants.

Grading Procedure:

Instructors will use tests, quizzes, and practical exams throughout the program in order to evaluate the student’s progress.

Graduation:

Students must complete all listed hours and services, in addition, academic requirements and financial obligation to be considered a graduate and awarded a Diploma.
